Changing your Nigeria number to USA phone number isn’t a herculean task, and of course, the required information to that too is not a word-on-the-street one either. But all in all, this tutorial will unravel the mystery for you.
To begin with, changing your Nigeria number to US phone number might look a bit suspicious but on the other side, there are other advantages to it too.
Whatever the reason why you’ll be changing your phone number to that of US, if you follow the steps below religiously, the mystery will be unraveled without spending a dime.
How to change Nigeria phone number to US phone number
Visit the callcentric.com and register for a free account with them. In the course of signing up, be informed that your real phone number, as well as active email account, will be needed during the registration process or else you won’t be able to verify your account.
Sign up for a free account (there’s an added advantage should your email address end with .com).
Thereafter, you’ll receive a notification message from callcentric warning you to pass all the regular verification processes.
To pass these verification procedures, you’ll have to provide your country as well as your current city code.
Tick the “I agree” box in the terms and conditions coner and sign up.
Having done that, the website will take you on a tour virtually; thereby showing around their resource. You can, however, head straight to the “My CallCentric” and skip the tour if you wish. Hence, your CallCentric number that begin with 1777*** will be shown to you; copy and save the number somewhere safe.
Be enlightened that skipping through the virtual tour isn’t about leaving the page. So unless and until you copy the CallCentric number that is being provided for you by the web resources, do not leave!
At this juncture, open a fresh tab on your phone or system browser and enter ipcall.com.
Once you landed on the webpage, kindly select SIP as your major account type and enter the CallCentric number you copied earlier into the field provided (Username).
After then, choose an area code for the new USA number. You can — at your own will — leave it at the default (235) or pick any one that is available.
The system will request for the hostname, so enter in.callcentric.com.
Use same data i.e email and password that was used for CallCentric registration.
You’ll receive a mail containing your USA phone number.
Don’t delete the mail as the SIP client will need some kind of customization and configuration.
The received USA number is not yet active hence, you’ll have to download and install Express Talk on your computer.
While installing the app, do not touch any default wizard option and do not install further components that are coupled to the app default installation process.
The program will ask you about SIP, just flag click ‘I have SIP account’.
Provide the SIP installation details as you did on ipcall.
Once you finished this setup, you can close all the browser tabs you opened as your USA number is fully ready.
Follow the instructions on how to change Nigeria number to USA number above religiously and your problem will be completely solved.
